Submission

In the instances where you have submitted the wrong file to your submission area, or struggling to find your submission location, you should immediately contact your relevant department's submission support team in the first instance.

In your assessment brief and/or in the description of your submission area, you will be able to find your point of contact to liaise with your department for troubleshooting.

Please ensure to allow plenty of time to contact your department before the submission deadline.

Turnitin

If you come across any error messages after your submission, please first read through the error message on your screen to identify the problem.

Common issues are due to having non-selectable text or formatting that Turnitin cannot read.

Missing Course/Content/Submission area

Please ensure you have checked enrolled to the relevant course/units and have checked all the available content before contacting your Course Support Service and provide links with screenshots of the areas you are checking to troubleshoot quicker.

If you are returning to study for the next academic year and unable to find your current academic year courses, please ensure you have 'Hierarchy' view enabled in your My Courses, which lists your latest units at the top of the list.

Not receiving emails from Moodle

Please ensure your Moodle notification settings are not disabled, which you can check via 'bell' icon on Moodle Dashboard > click on 'gear' button for settings and check your notification preferences (please ensure 'Disable notifications' is unticked).

Access to the Archive

We strongly recommend that students maintain a personal archive of all submitted work for future portfolio use.

Access to your UAL account and email expires 150 days after your course end date, so please ensure you download your files before this deadline.

If you have already lost access and need to retrieve a submission, please contact us. We will check the current data retention status and advise if recovery is possible.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes prevent you from backing up work in time.
